Microsoft<\/b> brought out the big guns today as they wrapped up their traditional pre-E3 press conference. Microsoft\u00b4s Live Arcade service didn\u00b4t miss out on the spotlight at Hollywood landmark Grauman\u00b4s Chinese Theatre, as Peter Moore confirmed these upcoming Live Arcade titles.
\nKonami<\/b> intends to revive slumbering franchises including Frogger<\/i>, Contra<\/i> and Super Contra<\/i>, Track & Field<\/i>, Time Pilot<\/i>, and Scramble<\/i> – promising updated graphics and Xbox Live support.<\/p>\n
Namco Bandai<\/b> intends to cater to the nostalgics with the re-release of such coin-op classics as Pac-Man<\/i>, Galaga<\/i>, Dig Dug<\/i> and Rally-X<\/i> – each including familiar Xbox Live features such as leaderboards and achievements.<\/p>\n
Midway<\/b>\u00b4s pockets are also bulging with upcoming classic franchises including Defender<\/i>, Paperboy<\/i>, Root Beer Tapper<\/i> and Ultimate Mortal Kombat\u00ae 3<\/i> – each sporting fresh facelifts and online multiplayer.<\/p>\n
SEGA<\/b> is also eagerly waiting to revive some old friends, including the world\u00b4s fastest hedgehog in a title called \u0093Sonic The Hedgehog High Speed\u0094<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Xbox Live Arcade has frequently been praised for helping indie developer\u00b4s into our living rooms. An entourage of indie titles include: PopCap Games<\/b>\u00b4 action shooter debut ”Heavy Weapon”<\/i>, ”Cloning Clyde”<\/i> by Wahoo Studios\/Ninja Bee<\/b>, ”Roboblitz”<\/i> by Naked Sky Entertainment<\/b> and ”Mutant Storm Empire”<\/i> by PomPom<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Last, but certainly not least, comes a fresh installment for Q Entertainment<\/b>\u00b4s critically acclaimed ”Lumines”<\/i> series. ”Lumines Live!”<\/i> will debut exclusively on the 360, the game will feature a new puzzle mode, full multiplayer support, an exclusive duel-mode and downloadable content over the Live Marketplace.<\/p>\n
