NPD Group has released the U.S. console sales for January. The statistics show that Nintendo´s Wii sold most consoles during the month, with Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 trailing behind. Wii sold 436 000 consoles, while Xbox 360 sold 294 000. Playstation 3 was third with 244 000 consoles.
Wii sales also had the smallest drop in sales from December (from 604 000 units), while Xbox 360 suffered a drop of almost 1,13 million units. Playstation 3 sales fell from 491 000 consoles.
