Microsoft will showcase IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) on Xbox 360 for the first time in Europe on March 5th to 7th at The Connected Home show, co-hosted at the third annual IPTV World Forum in London.
The actual IPTV service for the Xbox 360 is expected to be availabe in the U.S. by the end of 2007 and according to Microsoft, the service will launch in Europe approximately at the same time.
With IPTV you can, for example, watch TV programmes in real time while chatting with your friends or play over Xbox Live and record a TV show at the same time. Needless to say, this sort of information flow requires good broadband data services.
