Ubisoft is to release a refreshed version of Prince of Persia on Xbox Live Arcade this Summer.
Prince of Persia Classic is a remake version of Jordan Mechner´s original Prince of Persia game, which was released in 1989. Ubisoft has said, however, that this version will take advantage of some of the possibilities provided by the current generation of consoles. According to the dev, all the maps, the swordplay, and time-limits will be featured as they were in 1989 in the original game. The character and all animations will be given a major face-lift.
Also, never before seen puzzles, traps, and enemies will present a challenge to the players, new and old.
No further information on the price or the release date has yet been given.
