EA announced the return of the Wing Commander franchise. Wing Commander Arena is being developed for Xbox Live Arcade, and it will offer the largest simultaneous melee battle to date with up to 16 players.
Wing Commander Arena is a fast-paced online battle, where players can customize their ships. The game has eight playable maps and it features four game modes: single player, multiteam, multiplayer free for all and multiplayer duel.
The game is produced and published by EA and is co-operatively developed with Gaia Inustries. The scheduled release is in summer 2007.
