Ever since it´s well recieved unveiling at the Playstation 3 booth at E3 earlier this year, rumours about which platforms we would actually see Ubisoft´s Assassin´s Creed on have been frequently circulating. Some even claiming that the game being run at Sony´s E3 booth was actually running on Xbox 360 systems instead of Sony´s PS3.
Initially, some Sony executives tried to play it off as an exclusive, while the folks at Ubisoft have been sticking to ”no comment” – until now, that is. At the currently running International Digital Entertainment Festival (IDEF) in Cannes, Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Assassin´s Creed is in fact in development for the Xbox 360 and PC, as well as the PS3. However, whether Ubi´s highly anticipated title will be a limited time-exclusive for any system remains unclear.
Update: unfortunately Ubisoft is now denying any ”official” stand on anything else but a PS3 release. Smells like a timed-exclusive to me.
