Eidos Sheds Light on Past and Future

SCi Entertainment Group, owner of the publishing label Eidos, has announced it´s revenue figures for the first six months of the financial year, to 31 December 2006. Group´s revenue for the first half is expected to exceed £70 million (about 106 million EUR) which is a 40 % increase compared to last year. New product releases accounted for approximately 50 % of revenues.
Just Cause was the most successful new title. Eidos believes it will sell over one million units before the end of current financial year. The sequel to Just Cause is under development.

Tomb Raider, Hitman and Championship Manager will see new versions on next generation consoles. Also, completely new titles of Age of Conan, Kane & Lynch and Crossfire will be published in the near future. Exact publishing schedule is still open. Battlestations Midway is coming out as planned in February 2007 for Xbox 360 and PC.

SCi Entertainment Group starts a partnership with Warner Bros as announced earlier. SCi will license intellectual properties including Batman, Looney Tunes and properties from the Hanna Barbera catalogue. Group expects returns from this investment from the 2008 year onwards.
