Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios have officially confirmed that there will be three different Halo 3 editions.
The Legendary Edition ($129.99 U.S. estimated retail) is for the hardcore fans, and it will be sold only in limited quantities. You´ll get a Spartan helmet case and two bonus discs with extra content, including a documentary on making Halo 3, footage and videos on behind-the-scenes action and an audiovisual calibration tool to perfect the HD gaming experience. Those going for the Legendary Edition will also get exclusive cinematic material from Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. In addition, storyboard art from Lee Wilson is included.
The Limited Edition ($69.99 U.S. estimated retail) comes in a metal case and has some extra material as well. A Halo fiction and art book is included.
The Standard Edition ($59.99 U.S. estimated retail) is just that: a standard copy containing nothing more and nothing less than Halo 3.
Prices for the European market are yet to be confirmed.
